Trying to balance being a full-time mommy and a part-time veterinarian...oh, and still be a lovable wife! If you know the secret, please share!

I am blessed to have an amazing hunk of a husband (John) and 3 awesome kiddos (Faith, born 2002; Cole, born 2004; and our latest addition James, born 2006). I love my job working 3.5 days/week at an exceptional small animal clinic in south Austin. If I could pick any job in the world, I would choose to be a mother/wife. If I could choose any PAYING job in the world, I would choose to be a veterinarian. So although I realize how lucky I am to have the best of both worlds, I'm always struggling (like all working moms) to find that perfect balance.

Ok- that is hilarious- what was going on right before that though or did that just come out of the blue??
No, we're not raising a little hellion. He had something on his finger and his lovely uncle (who was ready w/ a camera) asked him to turn around and show him. I can't even remember what was on his finger, but whatever it was was upsetting (see the tears under his eyes).
Don't you just love kids....I miss being so carefree with my hurts, wants, and emotions.
